I like the idea of having this online comments for lectures and concepts discussed. However, as we're all busy students, if it's something that's not required as part of the course grade, then it often ends up being a lackluster effort by just a few dedicated individuals. However, if it becomes mandatory, then we end up writing things for which we may not have a question on or no clarification is necessary.
I think this online access for comments, questions, and answers is a great idea because it allows for communication between the students and between the students and instructor. This seems easier and more convenient than going to office hours.
