Does anyone have the "rule of threes" (with respect to tooth foramtion/eruption) that Dr. Duperon mentioned in class? I didn't get to write it out completely.
Thanks,

This is his rule of 3's: 3 years for calcication, 3 years for eruption, 3 years after eruption for apical closure.

Hi Raquel,

The rule of 3's refers to when the teeth calcify, erupt, and have apical closure of each tooth. Knowing when the apical closure occurs can be helpful in deciding the best treatment options such as when to do a pulpotomy vs. pulpectomy.
